How to Stake Aptos (APT)?

You can stake Aptos on crypto exchange platforms or on platforms that run public validators and handle liquid staking.

If you only want to stake Aptos, the second option is preferable.

Follow the steps as shown to stake APT tokens on a non-custodial wallet.

Step 1 – Create an account in a non-custodial wallet

You need to have a wallet to stake APT coins. You can choose the desired one and create an account there by providing all the necessary details.

Step 2 – Add funds to your account

After you have created your non-custodial wallet, buy a sufficient amount of APT tokens and transfer them to the wallet you just created.

Step 3 – Choose a platform that runs a public validator and connect your wallet to it

Go to the site of the desired platform and connect your wallet to it for staking.

Step 4 – Click Get APT

On connecting your wallet, click on the “Get APT” option for staking.

Step 5 – Enter the amount you want to stake

Type in the number of APT tokens you wish to stake, and then CONFIRM it. You will be shown the amount of APT tokens you will get after staking APT tokens.

Step 6 – APPROVE the transaction in your wallet extension.

Finally, you will be shown the transaction details in your wallet. Simply review it and CONFIRM.

Your entered value of APT tokens is now staked, and you have received the shown APT toke

Step 6- Enter the amount of Aptos to stake

On choosing the validator, enter the amount to be staked with the selected validator pool. Make sure the entered value is equal to or more than the minimum amount for the corresponding duration.

Keep in mind to leave at least 35 unstaked Aptos on your lockup contract, for paying storage fees, etc., until the completion of vesting.

Step 7- Click SUBMIT STAKE

Lastly, click the SUBMIT STAKE option to stake with the validator pool for the duration you have selected.

After this step, you will see the amount staked with the chosen validator in the Status bar.
