As we approach tax season, our engineering team at KoinX strives to build more user-friendly features to enhance your experience. The new year brought many rewards for KoinX users, with multiple rewarding events being the main highlight of the month of January. This blog will go over all of the major and minor changes since our January release.
Free Use Tools 🎉
We compiled a list of utility tools requested by our users and built them. Yes, you asked for it, and we delivered.
- Profit Calculator (opens in a new tab): Use this tool to compute your profit, as well as your investment and exit fees for all of your transactions.
- Tax Calculator (opens in a new tab): Use this tool to calculate your taxes on cryptocurrency transactions.
- Crypto Converter (opens in a new tab): We understand that finding the prices of each currency you trade in and converting them from one another is a chore in and of itself, but don't worry, we're here to help with this tool. Now, you can use the KoinX Crypto Converter tool to convert the top 1000 crypto currencies in real time.
- Live Prices (opens in a new tab): Before trading, use this tool to find live prices, market cap values, and other information about your favorite coins.
- Coin Detail (opens in a new tab): Use this tool to learn more about a specific coin and all of its associated data.
New Onboarding Flow
We completely redesigned our onboarding process. Now in less than 30 seconds, new users can begin using KoinX to simplify their crypto taxes. You can sign up with either your email or phone number without giving it a second thought.
Wallet Suggestions
Get wallet recommendations on how to integrate a wallet to seamlessly add data to your existing wallets, sync them, or create a new wallet. Users will now see a popup when integrating an existing wallet on their account, allowing them to choose whether to add the new CSV files to one of their existing wallets or create a new one.
Crypto Tax Calculator Widget
On the request of many of our partners, we created a crypto tax calculator widget. You can now provide crypto tax calculation functionality to your users on your platform by simply adding a code snippet of less than 5 lines. Users can use this calculator to calculate their taxes for trading, mining, and staking transactions involving multiple currencies under tax slabs approved by the government. We also attempted to incorporate a number of customization features in order to match the widget to the theme of your platform. Minor Changes
- Drag and Drop Files: Now users can simply drag and drop their integration files on the Add Wallet page to upload their files.
- Partial Shimmers: We revamped our loading states across the platform for making filters and other important functionalities readily available to our users while we process rest of their data.
- New Trade Types: We recently added support for more trade types, such as futures, future expense etc.
- Performance Optimization: Other than releasing new features and functionalities we also improved our current systems to provide better performance to our users.
