Guide to Understanding KoinX's Transactions Page
In the fast-paced world of cryptocurrency, keeping your transactions organized and easily accessible is key to managing your portfolio and ensuring accurate tax reporting. With the rapid growth of digital assets, having an efficient tool like KoinX to track and analyze your transactions is not just a convenience—it’s a necessity.
Navigating your crypto transactions should be as simple as tracking your gains and losses. KoinX’s intuitive interface lets you add, filter, and analyze transactions in just a few minutes. Follow these 27 easy steps to get the most out of your transaction data:
Getting Started on the Transaction Page
Navigate to the Transactions Page
- Go to the Transactions Page (opens in a new tab) to access your transaction dashboard.
Click the Wallets Filter
- Select a wallet from the list to view transactions specific to that wallet. (If you have only one wallet, use other filters to narrow down your search.)
Filtering Your Transactions
Click on Types
- Filter transactions by type. For example, selecting "Deposit" will show only deposit transactions.
Click on Labels
- Each transaction has a definite type of label associated with it. It helps you to look for particular types of transactions for better navigation.
- All possible types of transactions that you can find are
- Deposit
- Withdrawal
- Trade
- Margin Trade
- Futures Trade
- Expense
- Each transaction is tagged with a specific label.
Note: You’ll only see labels for transaction types in your portfolio.
Click on Coins
- Choose one or multiple coins to filter and view transactions related to those specific coins.
Click on Tags
- Two tag options are available:
- Edited: View transactions you have modified.
- Manual: See the transactions you have added manually.
Click on “Select Date Range”
- Set a custom time frame to view transactions made within that period.
Click on Sort By
- Change the order of transactions. For example, selecting "Highest Gains" will sort from highest to lowest gains, while "Most Recent" will order them chronologically.
Click on the Warnings Filter

Identify error transactions with these warnings:
- Can’t fetch Price: Transactions where the coin’s price isn’t fetched.
- Can’t Find Purchase Transaction: Transactions missing Cost Price, Purchase History, or Acquisition History (usually due to previous years’ data not being added).
Managing Transactions
Click “Add Transaction”
- Use this feature to add a new transaction to your account.

Click “Download CSV”
- Download a CSV file of your selected transactions.
Note: You must have the current year’s plan to use this feature.
Transaction Details Overview
View Transaction Details
- Each transaction displays important information:
- Type and Label: The classification of the transaction.
- Exchange Name: Where the trade was executed.
- Coins Involved: The coin you sent and received.
- Price & Total Amount: The transaction’s monetary details.
- Profit or Loss: (For trade transactions) The financial outcome.
- Date & Time: When the transaction occurred.
- Platform Fee: Any fees deducted by the platform.
- TDS Deducted: Applicable for sell and swap transactions on Indian exchanges.
Additional Data in Details Section
- You’ll also find extra data points like:
- Purchase Value
- Market Value
In-Depth Analysis
Explore the “Analysis” Section
- This section provides insights into how your trades are executed and how taxes are calculated:
- Trade Details: View the coin quantity and, for sell or swap transactions, see which pool the coins came from.
- Held For Status: Indicates how long coins were held before being sold (or the acquisition date for other transactions).
- Cost: The per-unit value when purchasing a coin.
- Sale Amount: The per-unit value when selling a coin.
Click “Analysis”
- Access the analysis features to gain detailed insights into your trades.
Follow On-Screen Analysis Instructions
- Click the provided button to further explore transaction breakdowns.
Additional Transaction Actions
Click “Mark as Spam”
- Mark any spam transaction; this action will set the CP (cost price) of that transaction to 0.
- Click the designated button (as indicated) to continue with the process.
Delete a Transaction
- Use the delete feature to remove any unwanted transactions.
- Click the corresponding button to finalize deletion.
Label a Transaction
- Change the label of any transaction using the "Label Transaction" feature.
Edit a Transaction
- Modify any transaction details as needed using the edit feature.
- Click the appropriate button to apply your changes.
Batch Actions
- Select multiple transactions to label or delete them in one go.
Finalize Batch Actions
- Click the button to complete batch processing.
