Jed McCaleb is an American programmer, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is a co-founder and the CTO of Stellar. Prior to co-founding Stellar, McCaleb founded and served as the CTO of the company Ripple until 2013. McCaleb is also known for creating the Mt. Gox bitcoin exchange, and the peer-to-peer eDonkey and Overnet networks as well as the eDonkey2000 application.

Candace Kelly is the Chief Legal Officer of the Stellar Development Foundation (SDF). She leads SDF’s legal team, that is responsible for all of SDF’s legal affairs and the policy team that is focused on bridging the gap between the public and private sectors, fostering dialogue and growing partnerships with global regulators and policymakers. Prior to joining SDF, Candace worked for Uber Technologies, Inc., where she held a variety of positions, helping to navigate the company’s response to regulatory investigations and advising on safety, security, privacy, consumer protection, and law enforcement response. Candace brings her vast legal experience to SDF, most notably her 17 year career at the United States Department of Justice, where she held positions as a legal and policy advisor on national security, criminal, and civil rights issues in leadership offices in Washington D.C. and as a prosecutor in the Northern District of California.

Jason Chlipala is the COO of the Stellar Development Foundation (SDF). At SDF, he manages operations, finances, and business strategy. Prior to joining SDF, Jason was the COO of Interstellar, where he worked on all areas of business operations. Jason also previously led teams of engineers, data scientists, and designers in building custom solutions to data problems in his business development role at Palantir Technologies. Before moving to the technology space, Jason began his professional career as a tax and corporate attorney in New York. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Cornell and a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School.

Mark Heynen is the Vice President, Business Development at Stellar Development Foundation. Additionally, Mark Heynen has had 3 past jobs including Co-Founder & Chief Business Officer at PayJoy.Mark has led go to market in emerging markets for large and small companies, from Google’s initial push into maps in the mid 2000s to Facebook’s early mobile efforts and ultimately launching PayJoy, a Silicon Valley-based fintech, in 20 countries. He currently serves as VP of Business Development at the Stellar Development Foundation.His focus has been on analyzing markets, structuring transformational partnerships, hiring highly functional teams in market, and then producing revenue quickly with great unit economics. He has also raised ~$100M in early stage VC, venture debt, and SPV debt financing across four companies he built, and advised companies on fundraising.Prior to moving to Silicon Valley in 2006, Mark split his time between India and London, founding and running his first startup, Electrobug Technologies. As this company had clients in 18 countries and 250+ staff in India through a wholly owned subsidiary, Mark learned firsthand of the challenges and opportunities of working in emerging markets, and is currently an advisor for a number of startups.

Tomer is the Vice President of Tech Strategy at the Stellar Development Foundation. At SDF, he focuses on technology strategy and the future of the stellar protocol. In his previous role as SDF’s Director of Partner Engineering, he led an engineering team working closely with selected financial institutions on defining interoperability standards and building the supporting tools to grow the Stellar network. Tomer has been part of the Stellar ecosystem since 2017, has led a plethora of partner integrations and contributed to projects such as Horizon and StellarX.
