Allison Lu is a blockchain expert that is leveraging her field of experetise to incentivize human behavior for a permissionless and fair financial marketplace. She Co-Founded UMA alongside Hart Lambur in 2018, and she has previously for Goldman Sachs and Various, both in New York City. Allison graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.Allison worked as a consultant at Various, New York City between January 2009 and July 2009. From there, she joined Goldman Sachs in New York, and served as Vice President for six years. While working at Goldman Sachs, she managed $30B balance sheet and $100M+ annual revenue while elevating desk market share in both primary and secondary trading to #1 in USTs.Through the experience gathered at Goldman, she began to see how financial products could catalyze economic growth and wealth creation, and yet also serve as “weapons of mass destruction.” She decided in 2015 to join a social mission-oriented startup called Tala and she served as the Vice President of Credit and Risk Analytics until February 2018. While at Tala, she built the fraud, credit, and risk management team from scratch and also partnered with the data science team to commission Machine learning models that improve credit decisions.Allison was an Advisor for One Daijo Ltd, an organization that helps the underserved establish identities that can be used to access various financial services. In March 2018, she founded UMA with Hart Lambur with the aim of enabling Universal Market Access.

Hart Lambur is the Co-Founder, CEO & Board Member of umaproject.Hart Lambur has a diverse work experience, starting in 2004 when they worked as a Summer Technical Analyst at Goldman Sachs. Hart then joined Columbia University in the City of New York as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant in the Computer Science Department. In 2005, Lambur returned to Goldman Sachs as an Interest Rate Trader, focusing on the 5-10 year sector and engaging in proprietary trading activities. Hart worked there until 2013. After leaving Goldman Sachs, Lambur founded Openfolio, a personal finance tracking platform that was eventually acquired by Stone Ridge Asset Management in 2017. From 2013 to 2017, they served as the CEO and Founder of Openfolio.In 2018, Lambur held various roles, including Co-Founder at UMA, a decentralized financial contracts platform, Director at Risk Labs Foundation, and Pledger at Founders Pledge.
